It is a great privilege to be able to travel and explore the world and one we don’t take lightly.
After all …
“We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” ― David Brower
Responsible business …
In the travel industry is more than responsible tourism. Through our own company ethics, policies and practices we have an impact on the world around us. Our commitment is that it’s a good one.
It’s the key to our future …
Which is good because we’re passionate about sustainability. Both of our founders Larissa and Tori came from careers in environmental campaigning and policy before starting the company. Both continue to volunteer and support a number of organisations with their work.
And why we give a little something back …
To demonstrate our commitment to a healthy planet we make annual donations to environmental causes. Until 2023 we were members of 1% for the Planet giving a minimum of 1% of our revenue to projects each year. In 2023 we decided to focus on one organisation – Free Range Ocean – and to build a long and lasting partnership. This is where we’ll make the majority of our donations from now although we are always open to hearing about ad hoc projects.
In 2024 we became a member of the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund (ATCF), the international nonprofit focused on funding on-the-ground conservation projects around the world. It’s a way for us to directly support work that is critical to protecting the environments, wildlife, cultures and economies that we, and you, value and visit.
In addition, Larissa Clark, founder and director of Another World Adventures supports the success of conservation projects including eXXpedition, Barba, TMT, Darwin200 and others such as Women in Ocean Science for which she is on the Advisory Board.
