Original post: Another World Adventures
Still excited about the Olympics start? If you couldn’t make it to Brazil now maybe you should consider an adventure travel trip to South American this winter, a great time to visit.
Here at Another World Adventures we love this horse riding adventure in South America which starts in November, and has departure dates throughout the winter. If you love riding and wilderness then book your time off and get prepared for a horse riding adventure across the Andes!
Ride horses
This unusual adventure is just the perfect way to discover the mountain area of northern Patagonia. Horses were the favourite means of transport of the Native American people. Riding them you’ll discover the rural Pueblo Valley, in the past a well-known route frequented by smugglers.
Taste local food
You’ll get to know local people, as you’ll be host in several farms during the journey, having the chance to get familiar with the Gaucho culture and taste some delicious South American food.
See stunning places
In this ultimate horse riding adventure you’ll reach remote places and valleys, crossing lands and rivers with your loving horse. You’ll ride from Chile to Argentina, starting with the Chilean lake district where you’ll have the chance to swim in crystalline waters before riding into the beautiful Argentina National Park.
A bespoke adventure
Numerous departure dates and trip length are available for this small group adventure. The trip can last from 6 to 14 days (the so-called Grande Traversée). During the journey, you’ll not only bond with your horse but with your fellow riders and guides, becoming a close knit team day after day.
