Sail Across the Atlantic Ocean – Transatlantic 2019/20

It’s every adventure seeker’s dream to sail across the Atlantic Ocean in 2019/2020.

Whether you’re a beginner or pro sailor there are options for you all on board hands on sailing vessels if you have the ambition to sail across the Atlantic Ocean. Join yachts and tall ships as guest (voyage) crew and learn incredible new skills as you pull together as a team to harness the wind and reach a new continent.

Learn the ropes on a classic tall ship, racing or expedition yacht. Experience navigation, planning and life on board with your fellow crew who will be a mix of ages and from all walks of life. There’s no upper age limit on the voyages and decisions on participants are made on a case-by-case basis by the crew office for each vessel but the key requirement is good health and an enthusiasm to get involved.

Another World Adventures was founded by Tori Howse and Larissa Clark off the back of an epic Atlantic Crossing to Brazil from Europe in 2011 so we know the power of a voyage like this on shaping lives.

Sail Across the Atlantic Ocean – 2019

Cape to Cape via Antarctica

Sail Cape to Cape via Antarctica on a traditional tall ship from South America to South Africa.

The Cape to Cape voyage is an adventure for all nature and sailing lovers. An ocean voyage to a remote and rarely visited part of the planet on a world class traditional tall ship where you are the crew. This trip starts in the Ushuaia Argentina and sails transatlantic to Cape Town in South Africa with remote Atlantic island stops and exploration in Antarctica.

Dates: 8 February 2019 – 31 March 2019
Ushuaia, Argentina to Cape Town South Africa via Antarctica.
Price: 9,160 EUR  4-6 berth cabin / 10,230 EUR 2 berth cabin (reserved for couples travelling together)

Bermuda to UK

This 32 day Atlantic Ocean passage on a classic tall ship begins in the tropical paradise that is Bermuda from where you’ll sail over 1,800 nautical miles following the trade winds to the Azores, a high speed trip perfect for more experienced sailors. Part two of this adventure will cover another 1,500 nautical miles west to the UK weather with the possibility of visiting a port visit or two along the way weather dependent.

This ship has been modified to take both disabled and able bodied crew offering an adventure for all those who love sailing.

USA to UK via Azores 

Join the crew of a Clipper 60, one of the world’s great blue water expedition yachts and sail from the east coast of the USA to the Bahamas, up to Bermuda, across to the Azores (end of leg 1) and then east for the final 1000nm to the Solent on England’s south coast (leg 2). This trip is suitable for both experienced sailors looking to build ocean miles (the trip is a Yachtmaster Ocean qualifying passage) or beginners looking for expert tuition and an incredible adventure!

Azores to UK

An exciting Atlantic Ocean sailing experience on a tall ship from the Azores to the UK via the Biscay, Celtic, and Irish Seas. The sail begins in Ponta Delgada in the Azores and ends in Liverpool. The trip is a hands on sailing experience will full instruction given. Learn celestial navigation, experience life at sea on an ocean crossing and hone your sailing skills.

Crossing from Europe to South America

This is a true adventure on board a historic Dutch tall ship. The crossing is to Uruguay with an equator crossing and you can join the ship in Tenerife (for the 44 day crossing) or the Cape Verde islands (34 day crossing). Both Another World Adventures founders Tori and Larissa have made this voyage and will enjoy helping you better understand if it’s a good option for you.
