We’ve helped customers sail across an ocean for their 65th birthday, kite surf on an adventurous honeymoon and celebrate an anniversary tracking mountain gorillas. So whether you’re turning 40 or celebrating your 40th wedding anniversary there’s a perfect adventure to help you celebrate it.
Here are some of our favourite top adventure trips for birthdays and anniversaries…
Go on Safari
A safari is top of the list of many bucket lists but we love this cycling alternative through Tanazia which allows you to get up close and personal to giraffe, ostrich, and even elephant from your two wheels. Combine wildlife watching with a physical challenge as you cycle among the Masai people, star gaze at night from remote campsites and enjoy the freedom of off-road dirt tracks combined with some technical rides. Run a marathon
So you’ve talked about running a marathon for years, well maybe this is the year to do it and where better than beautiful, magical Iceland. On this 5 day trip you’ll have plenty of time to take in some of the south coast’s famous waterfalls, glaciers and geysers and get some final training runs in before you tackle Iceland’s largest marathon. Not quite ready for a marathon? No problem, you can do a half or even a 10km and still feel worthy of the luxurious geothermal baths you’ll enjoy on the last day to relax those aching muscles.
Sail across an ocean
What better way to mark a big occasion that escaping completely on an ocean sailing crossing and seeing the first glimpse of land after weeks at sea? Wake up each morning with an uninterrupted blue horizon, watch the endlessly changing sky, learn a new skill, disconnect completely from your digital life and become at one with the rhythm of the ship. This is no cruise ship experience – from 100 year old tall ships to beautifully crafted racing yachts there are many ways to undertake a crossing under sail and many of them don’t require you to have any experience.
Ride the world’s highest roads
Take your motor biking passion to the next level on a ride across through India along many of the highest roads on earth, including the world’s highest ‘motorable’ pass – Khardung La. Get to know and love your 500cc Enfield Bullet as you make camp beside gorgeous high altitude lakes, scale the highest passes, cross deserts, and absorb stunning views of the huge mountain ranges. Its just you and the open road.
