Faroe Islands Running Adventure

Duration: 5 days
From: £935.00

A rare chance to explore the Faroe Islands on a unique running adventure with a renowned guide, unforgettable trails and great new friends

Nestled between Iceland and Norway is a small collection of Islands of unparalleled beauty. The Faroe Islands are largely unspoilt and remain a true explorer’s dream. This trail and mountain running trip is the opportunity to discover the undiscovered treasures of this stunning Archipelago.

From day one you are immersed in the tranquil, unique landscape of these Volcanic Islands. You will run along the cliffs from Sørvogsvatn; taking in the breathtaking scenery as the river tumbles from the lake into the sea. Once settled in Tórshavn; the capital of the Faroe Islands, and your base over the next four days, you will travel across the Islands to Eysturoy, Vågar and Streymoy.

On day two on the Island of Eysturoy, you run from the village of Gjógv, so named because of the unique sea canyon that runs from the town to the sea. On day three you will travel to the Island of Vågar and visit Gásadalur; a small remote village on the coast, surrounded by soaring peaks over which you will run. The village of Streymoy is where you finish your tour; the largest of the Faroe Islands. Travelling from the town of Saksun to Tjørnuvík; you will take in stunning coastal landscapes, sea lagoons and world renowned beaches.

For the experienced runner this tour is a chance to run across some the most unspoilt landscapes of the Nordic Isles. From the highest peaks to remote villages, this is a trip of discovery and wonder.
