- Up to 2,300m in altitude make it a challenging and dramatic course
- Watch Himalayan sun rises everyday
- Spend the week camping in a beautiful Athlete’s Village at the foot of the Himalayas

There are three loops to choose from. The 10k is the most accessible and because of the location, it’s exceptional whether it’s your first race or your hundredth. The 21k loop takes you through a few mountain passes which can be a new challenge for some trail runners. The 42k loop is an unforgettable course complete with views of the Himalayas, wooded trails, stream crossings and more. Embrace the joy that comes from running in nature and get ready for the biggest finishing line party of your life.
The adventure begins in Kathmandu. You and the group will spend a day here getting to know the projects that this race supports. You’ll meet the people on the ground doing this good work and the people who are supported by the projects.
We love this operator because they’ve teamed up with the UN Global Goals in order to help bring awareness and much needed support to this community. The three main goals for this race are higher quality education, gender equality, and clean water and sanitation. You’ll be working with the group to assist with these efforts while you’re there.
Once you reach the Athletes Village, your home for the rest of the week, you’ll have the opportunity to acclimatize and work within this incredible community. For two days you’ll help with the rebuilding that has been on-going since the April 2015 earthquake. The biggest priority right now is the school building. At the end of each day there’s a drink to be shared at the Sunset Bar. There’s also plenty of time for discovering some of Nepal’s culture and heritage around the valley or time to rest and keep your legs fresh for race day.
Then comes the magic of race day running a dramatic and challenging race route through the beautiful Shivapuri National Park against the magnificent backdrop of the Himalayas. This is not just a race, it’s a week-long life-changing adventure. It’s is your chance to experience the extraordinary Nepali culture whilst helping to create a platform for change.
