Trip notes

18 years

You’ll be staying in a 5-star rated hostel with dormitory style bedrooms, each sleeping 6 guests at most. It’s a traditional Welsh stone building, featuring slate floors, log burners and comfy sofas – perfect for relaxing after a long day on your feet. And for the summer months there’s an outdoor decking area with firepit. When you’re not out hiking, the hostel’s social areas are the perfect space to relax with your new trail mates.

If you prefer to have a private room that can often be accommodated. Please enquire before booking to ensure availability on your chosen date.

Within walking distance there are a couple of pubs serving homely food and an outdoor centre with a bar that serves good food. Betws-Y-Coed is just 5 miles down the road, offering a wide selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. Or if you fancy rustling up your own meal one night, the hostel has a large kitchen for guests to use.

Fuelling up is crucial when you’re out hiking all day, so breakfast is provided each day in a small local cafe right next door to your hostel.

To keep you going throughout the day, you’ll be given a picnic lunch to take on your hike. Enjoy refuelling on the trailside with your view of choice.

You’ll enjoy a welcome dinner on the first night. It’s the perfect way to get to know your guides and the rest of your small group.

For the other evenings, there are a couple of local pubs and eateries within walking distance where you can enjoy good homely food. Otherwise the main town of Betws-y-Coed is just 5 miles away and offers a wider selection of bars and restaurants.

Active hikers who are fit and keen to earn their 14 Peaks badge of honour!

Solo travellers, couples and friends are all welcome to join this small group experience.

If you’re enquiring on behalf of a group of 6 or more friends, this trip can depart on alternative dates to suit you. Tailormade trips are also available, so you can create your perfect walking itinerary.
