Itinerary
Your journey begins in Sydney, where you’ll spend three days training ahead of the official Boxing Day start. The training sail covers more than 150 nautical miles, giving you the chance to familiarise yourself with the yacht, systems, and teamwork needed for an offshore race of this calibre. When the starting cannon fires, you’ll join the fleet in one of the most watched yacht races on the planet. The route runs south along Australia’s coast before turning into the notorious Bass Strait — a stretch of ocean famous for its fast-changing conditions and exhilarating sailing. After several days at sea, you’ll enter Storm Bay and sail up the River Derwent to Hobart, greeted by cheering crowds and the vibrant festival atmosphere of the finish line.
