Accommodation
The operator cannot offer a uniform accommodation standard on the itinerary. Standards in Bishkek cannot be compared to a homestay in an isolated valley in Kyrgyzstan. The operator considers comfort, location, design, character, historical interest and whether the money we spend will go into the pockets of the local community when making the choice of where to stay. The accommodation will be based on 2 people sharing a room when that is available. When in the mountains you’ll be staying in tents and in local homestays that sometimes only offer central communal areas to sleep in.
Meals
In Kyrgyzstan three meals are provided each day and this is included in the cost of the trip. If you have particular preference for trekking snacks, such as energy bars/gels, then you will need to bring your own supply.
Who is this trip for?
- Perfect for solo travellers
- Couples

Guides:
On this trip, you will be accompanied by an experienced international trekking guide plus an English speaking local guide. This allows for greater flexibility and means that there will always be someone on hand to help or assist you even if the other team leader is busy making arrangements.
Security:
Kyrgyzstan is a safe and stable Central Asian country. Nevertheless, advice from the foreign office and from friends in the areas visited are taken into account when planning routes. Client’s safety is the primary concern. The tour leader has the final word with regards to changes in the itinerary for safety reasons. Whilst the route chosen passes through areas which are stable things can change and the route may need to be changed or sections of this trip cancelled at short notice.
Tour operator
Working with small groups of a maximum of 12 people and using specialist local guides throughout, their aim is to provide authentic and original experiences for all guests. This small number allows for greater security, flexibility and access to local people and places.
