Original post: Another World Adventures
Sail aboard a beautiful classic racing yacht, through Atlantic and Caribbean waters, as part of an exciting 2026 schedule. You’ll have the opportunity to race in some of the Caribbean’s most famous sailing events and race across the Atlantic both ways as part of an Atlantic circuit.
Sailing the Atlantic Circuit
This beautiful Swan 51 will depart from Europe in November 2025, crossing the Atlantic westbound to the Caribbean. She will make the most of the full sailing season, racing across the Atlantic as part of ARC 2025, and taking part in various 2026 regattas in Antigua. This Caribbean island is known for its turquoise waters, rainforests, hilly landscapes and historic harbours.
In the spring, she will race back across the Atlantic eastbound, once again as part of the ARC race, to complete her Atlantic circuit. Sailing across the Atlantic you will experience the freedom that comes with the open ocean, whilst honing your sailing skills.

About the boat
Swan 51s offer a balance of performance and comfort, making them the perfect vessel for racing and cruising. They are known for their blue water sailing capabilities and with an expert skipper onboard to guide you, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn whilst experiencing the thrill of the ocean.
Onboard you can expect berths for up to 9 people and a spacious layout for a racing yacht. She has beautiful wooden details, which help you to truly appreciate the design of a classic boat.
Living aboard with your racing crewmates, you can expect to develop strong relationships and new friendships based on adventure, resilience and teamwork.
You will race together, share the sailing duties, watch rotas and anything else it requires to complete your ocean adventure.
Here’s what Seb, the owner has to say:
“The choice to go for a Swan 51 was a conscious one… Pressed hard in the trades maneuverability, speed and stability was key and she excelled in all aspects.
A clever interior with ability to house a large crew was also a prerequisite and the pure joy to rest your eyes on all wooden details makes one feel a homely warmth in one’s heart.
Personally I consider her as one of the best yacht designs ever, a true modern classic, and I am very proud to have skippered her for so many years.”
Who is this adventure for?
With such a packed season planned, sailing aboard this Swan 51 is a possibility for those looking for the ultimate oceanic odyssey and people wanting to experience the exhilaration of racing in world famous regattas.
You don’t have to be an expert, but some previous knowledge of sailing is useful so that you understand how to be safe onboard and what the different parts of a yacht are called. An RYA Competent Crew level of experience would be beneficial.
Not sure which is best suited to you? Here’s what you can expect from this vessel’s 2026 adventures:
ARC transatlantic crossing (2025 sold out // 2026)
Jump feet first into ocean sailing with the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) race. You’ll race against hundreds of other sailors from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean and get to understand the pure adventure that comes from sailing across an ocean.
The ARC is about much more than the race however, as there are plenty of events on and off the water both in Gran Canaria beforehand and St Lucia afterwards if you opt for the westbound route. The same applies to the eastbound route from St Maarten to Lagos in Portugal.
This vessel has had podium finishes before and will be sailed well, yet in a way that meets the pace and skills of the crew. The westbound route is quicker and easier than the eastbound route.
Christmas Cruising in the Caribbean
It has long been a tradition for boats that cross the Atlantic to find a cosy and welcoming place to spend Christmas. With its clear blue waters the Grenadines has welcomed sailors for a long time during winter holidays, it’s the perfect place to take down the pace and relax
This sailing program consists of island hopping to destinations such as Bequia, Mustique, Tobago Keys and other small gems in this fantastic group of islands. The starting and ending point is St Lucia, Rodney Bay.
Racing in the Caribbean and Mediterranean
For an action-packed and adrenaline fuelled adventure on the water, little compares to racing in a regatta. Take your pick from multiple Caribbean races in Antigua or sailing the Mediterranean in the Rolex Swan Cup in Sardinia.
Both are sun-soaked destinations and have fabulous social calendars surrounding the sailing. However, these adventures are more about excitement and sailing than relaxation. You will learn plenty as you get to grips with the fast pace of racing.
