Adventure to another world. There’s a reason we came up with the name for our company on one of these voyages in 2011. Another World Adventures was born, quite literally in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

This summer is going to be really exciting for those boarding one of our favourite tall ships in Europe as she sets sail on a voyage from Amsterdam to Chile and then onto Antarctica – we’re taking bookings for adventure seekers looking to do something truly incredible with their time off be it 2 weeks or 2.5 months.

Sailing South September – November 2014

The sails will be set and voyage crew welcomed on board to leave the European summer and sail to the Southern summer!

The first voyage from Amsterdam via Lisbon, Las Palmas and Salvador to Punta Arenas is divided into four seperate legs. This gives you the opportunity to be on board for just 2 weeks, but also to be on board for 2,5 months; you choose!

During these ocean voyages you will have ample time to get to know the ship and your fellow trainees.

Crossing an ocean makes you focus on the smaller things in life, that you normally fail to notice, like the sun, the moon, the stars, the weather, the living creatures around the ship, or even a view into your own life.

It is over 9000 nautical miles from Amsterdam to Punta Arenas. Sailing towards the south the ship will arrive in warmer weather and many sunny days. The ideal trip to escape the daily land life and break away from work and living in the fast lane!

When Tori and I sailed across the Atlantic in 2011 we made a video to try and sum up life on board – it’s a bit silly, and a lot of fun – Las Palmas – Salvador: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrmyhsKxCL8

Voyage Summary – Full details about each voyage are available below this summary.

The prices are per person and include all meals on board, tea and coffee. The price is excluding the drinks in the bar, the transfers to and from the ship and the travel/cancellation insurance.

Mixed International Voyage Crew

The ship enjoys the company of a very international crew and voyage crew/trainees and not a voyage is the same. Sometimes up to 14 different nationalities populate the ship! The language spoken on board is English. On board there are separate men’s and women’s cabins for trainees traveling alone and no single supplement for solo travelers. There are also a handful of double cabins for couples or people traveling with friends as a pair.

No sailing experience needed

As voyage crew you will be assigned to the watch system. Taking part in sailing this magnificent ship is an important part of your sailing experience. You will stand on look out, handle the sails and steer the ship. No prior sailing experience needed! The crew will be there to give instructions and answer all your questions. Below decks everything is taken care of unless you want to give a hand baking fresh bread at night!

Block a bunk or make a reservation

We would be happy to block a berth for you for 2 weeks so you have some time to make arrangements. Just get
in touch via the contact form above and we will make an optional reservation for you or email info@anotherworld.wpengine.com.

Tip: If you want to secure a two person cabin please make sure you contact us as soon as possible. It is our experience that 2 person cabins fill up first. Both 2 persons cabins and 4/5 persons cabins offer the same level of comfort. The only difference is in the amount of people you share your cabin with. Also please keep in mind we keep 2 person cabins for couples or duo bookers. For us it is very hard to find another single traveller to join in a 2 person cabin.
