Take in the incredibly varied and dramatic scenery of Morocco.
If you’re looking for a cycling adventure with the perfect combination of challenges, this Atlas Decent in Morocco will tick all your boxes. It has fast single-track descents through palm trees, rocky jeep tracks, hair pinned muleteer routes, and incredible trails.
Spend eight days cycling and exploring areas that have been largely untouched by tourism and enjoy plenty of opportunities to connect with local Berber people in the region.
Highlights:
- Sleep in traditional Moroccan Riads
- Fall in love with the vast mountain scenery of the Atlas range
What we love about this trip is how well designed it is. The operator has spent a great deal of time in the Atlas Mountains, riding every trail, in order to put together the best combination of routes. You’re sure to love what they’ve done because they clearly have put so much of their own heart into it.
This cycling adventure is classified as off-road. There are six days of cycling where you’ll cover an average of 50 kilometres each day. You’ll have full vehicle support (with two minor exceptions during single track descents). Your guides are experts both at cycling and at Moroccan history, geography, and culture.

Tour operator
If you’re looking for a company with experience you can’t beat these guys. This operator started life in February 1974 when two friends got together to provide an overland truck to travel to the Minaret of Jam, deep in the heart of the Hindu Kush, the most inaccessible of the world’s great monuments.
For the company, and people who work for them “it’s all about adventure” which is what they were founded on and what they are still about today. Their trips take place all around the world where they help travelers to delve into local traditions, cultures, cuisine, lifestyles – anything that contributes to a country’ unique identity.
We love that their groups and guides travel courteously and respectfully, in smaller groups to minimise the impact, to ensure that every holiday is a beneficial experience for everyone involved.
